What’s so good about it? Bone broth has been made for hundreds of years by our grandparents and their grandparents. Bone broth is high in protein and rich in minerals that can support immunity and adrenals, plus contains healing compounds such as collagen, glutamine, that can help with joint health as well as improving digestive health and reducing inflammation. Turmeric, a powerful anti-inflammatory herb is added to this blend for its antioxidant compounds.
Did you know? Black pepper has been included in this blend for a reason more important than flavour! Curcumin, the active ingredient in tumeric is not very bio-available, which means althought it is present, it is hard for your body to naturally absorb. The peperine, in black pepper makes the cucumin over 2000 times more bio-available!
How is it made? Beef bones are added to filtered water and apple cider vinegar – to assist in the extraction of the minerals and boiled down to form a broth. Himalayan salt is added for the final stage of the broth, for flavour and nutrition. The broth is then strained for impurities and as it cools the fat is skimmed off the top. The broth goes through a gentle refractatant drying process taking care to preserve the rich nutritional profile.
How do I use it? Make nourishing broth in seconds! Simply add 3 teaspoons to 250ml of boiling water for a hearty cup of goodness. Use as a base for soups, stews, a base for soups, sauces and gravies for nutrition and taste. Make a broth bowl by adding 3 teaspoons to 250ml of water per person. Bring to the boil and add a selection of veggies, protein and noodles. Serve hot.
Nutritional Yeast: Nutritional yeast is deactivated yeast, which is a member of the fungi family. Being a rich source B-complex vitamins, vegan and fodmap friendly, gluten free and over 50% protein by weight.
